How To Do Enemy Reports; unlike any other way you've known before

ALERT & ZERO

Image
A basic contact report which has replaced the original and more complicated report I had in this thread before. Always alert your squad to an enemy presence, and then zero in on their location.
1.) ALERT: Contact 60 degrees!
The most fundamental report you must get out there. You don't always need to zero, but you always need to alert! Check your compass then yell out contact and his bearing. If the enemy has not seen you, say spotted instead of contact.
2.) ZERO: Next to the trees, close!
Sometimes it is difficult to find the enemy even with bearings. So a little detail helps. You want to point out an object he is next to, and how close or far he is. If you're not sure if he is far or close, just look at the fog of the map and see if he is closer to your squad or to the end of your view distance.

There are alot of silly people who say things like "enemy infront of me" but dude we don't know which way you're looking.

IMHO logic's enough.

Inf/tank/APC
then
N/S/W/E
then
close/far
then
precise degrees

is enough

Secondary Inter-Cardinal is getting too complicated - for me anyway

Am I doing it wrong if I kill him, and then report which direction he was?

You say the enemy's general direction such as north, and if your telling a friendly and know his facing - you tell him to your front. If you don't, you just say north. This post is based on that primary issue Plod.
