Air combat to wind down the night


We've all had our new map fun and got used to how to play this map a little.
So it's time to get a good nights fighting in.

Experience with the falklands:
One CAS squad with 1 or 2 snipers
AIR squad with AA manned inland
Mortars are vital
Treasure those 2 marksmen and have them in the right squads
Supress, supress, supress you never know you might hit that pixel.
Protect/Destroy the Atlantic Conveyor to affect the Chinooks availabilty.

PRTA will
Offer a well admined 100% mumble enviroment.
Will do our best to find CO's.
Will lean on our decent SL's to step up that night.
Will take action against non communicating or no teamwork squads or players.

We would like to see effective co ordinating squads particulaly on the air front, an epic succesful Argentinian attack on the Atlantic Conveyor with all air assets would paralyze the Brit mortars rate of fire. If we have CO's I personally (TBD by PRTA team) would permit base attacks, as fun and something rewarding for the CO to do, but beware the Lag Cannon!

Reserve Squads
If any SL's feel thy can do duty to PRTA's intentions on this event we are offering the possibilty of reserving SL's, this will not be on a first come first served basis 'I can do CAS' but our knowledge of the individuals, Mortar SL's will get cake - maybe.

Will it be 100 players?

Very good job! Events are a big highlight in PR for me, always a big joy to take part in!

Is it 64p server only? Would give a BIG push to the event if we could manage to make it 100-128p, the falklands map WANTS to be played on a big server. Its made for it!
Would be most awesome!

As stated if we have any dedicated air SL's who really want to try out this system feel free to post here or PM me, but we'll be expecting a sniper/SL plus someone else with him for both Arg and Brit CAS squads.
I'd like to think the CAP (Combat Air Patrol) or Air squad leader would be capable of having 1 or 2 on high cover but also have one or two available to protect any CAS runs and or heli supply drops, equally if helis can group up for Air cover that must be good.

Or I am just dreaming about PR pilots??

Please tell me base attack is permitted, this is the one map in PR where this will actually work properly.

I want to conduct an air raid on argentina, or invincible.

Not sure.

Pro's
Give CO something to do, plus any argies attacking Invincible whilst AA is manned WILL die
Give Air combat a more clear role
Keeps CAS away from inf

Cons
Can't see many Brits going all the way to bomb Rio Grande
I'd rather CAS went for targets on the Island we'll have Laze eqquipped CAS SLs hopefully
Can't really see anyone sitting in Rio Grande for the 1 or 2 attacks that may appear

Come on guys Brit CAS has gone to L4gi @ OD-S, I'm very happy to consider a clan only squad doing any of the remaining 3 aircraft squads as long as you're not locked in your own TS ignoring mumble....

I think it is to ensure everyone is organized. Since its 100 players... Its not that easy to sort out everything ingame, Since you cant drag or assign access to people. They just join and do whatever.
