How did you find having no binoculars most of the time during the event? Was it, ah so hard to find targets?
Kits that have binos :
Squad Leader
Sniper
Marksman (recon kit)
Crewman

I noticed people taking crewman kits instead of riflemen, as a squad leader I would encourage it myself.
Its a ***** to find targets.

Yeah, since the kit geometries we use make the players lit, at distance it's hard to find white equipement against green bushes!
As a SL I had no difficulties spotting targets and my squadmembers neither. I would not let a Squad member take a crewman kit, has he loses :
Smoke grenades
Frag grenades
Ammo kit
What I do instead is asign a marksman to help my MG gunner with his binos to guide it's shots.

it's perfect and we went through a LOT of ambushes, it was awesome, as it's easier to move without being spotted all the time. And I love how people now suppress like crazy, whenever an enemy is spotted or shoot, it triggers an awesome wall of fire from the entire squad, even if we can't see the target.
And the SLs I played with had no problem at spotting targets, tho we tend to stop a lot more, slower progression, but it's cool.
