Hello Devs, hello PR community!

Im here to add more Suggestions.

Im a part of the PR community a long time and now I got some ideas for you.

Im sry for my english, its not the best one and dont understand it as an order, only suggestions!
I realy respect modders for the work!

I hope you all like it!


1)
Is it possible to draw the civilian character to a neutral side? So the civilians can choose by their own on which side their want to help.

2) Is it possible to add more then one civilian outfit? womans?

3) I like the idea to decrease the punishment by killing a civilian.

remove the -1 kill and spawntime. The civilians are on the "bad" side anyway and no civilian, in the most cases, are realy help the Bluefor. In a lot of situations they only run into the line of fire or into the mortar fire and if the mortarcrew is fireing on cache, because the Team needs help, they get a lot of punishment of it because the civilians are running into the mortar fire by their own will. Guess its better to remove the spawntime.

4) possible to add dynamic Sounds?

5) possible to add headshots, like in old times? Because its not realy realistic if you shoot someone in the head and he is still reviveable.

6) Its not realistic and I dont like the idea that you cant use an enemy kit. Because when you are in battle, you can use an enemy AK. I even saw videos in YT... Marines or other Soliders with enemy AKs in a Firefight.

Maybe you are able to say "you can use the M4 with the HAT KIT but not the HAT" or you are not able to reload this Kit.

7) Would be nice if you give your community the chance, to play the training mode. Because a lot of guys miss that and i guess you can do both, Co-Op and training mode... and thats it. Why remove it if the community can have both?

8) Add more Kit specials. More the feeling like "im a scout and im here TO scout"..

Scout Kit, Sniper Kit

Engineer need to be able to disarm IEDs somehow.
That would be nice, so the Engineer got the feeling like "im the engineer and im here to DISARM some mines AND IEDs, and its a hard job, because maybe the sapper will watch me"

Even the Riflemen need more Jobs. Maybe its possible to add more then one riflemen? One riflemen for M16 Magazines and one for HAT, MGs and stuff like that. Then it you always need 2 or more different riflemens in your squad, because you need different ammo in the battle.

The SAW Weapon need one more Variation. Maybe bigger magazines but decrease the Magazines. 2 Magazines with 200 Shots.

and I got a lot of more ideas for kits but thats fine for now.

Add more damage to the normal IEDs... because now its a joke. The idea to have an blue and yellow IED is nice but the damage on vehicles is so low, they dont even would build something like that.

Maybe reduce the Kits of normal sappers and increase the damage of normal IEDs... so not everyone can have a big boom but then its more realistic for vehicles... you cut the feeling with it, because in 0.8 there was a feeling like "oh shit, maybe IEDs???" and today "mhh, IEDs? Lets drive over it".. Not realy, but its something like that. The fear is not the same like in old days...

So like I say, my idea is to add more damage for the normal IEDs but add a kit limitation for the Sapper kit. Maybe 5 kits for a whole team + 1 the Arty IED kit.
So 6 IED kits for 32 mens.

and thats my next point

9) add the ability for normal insurgencys to choose kits on cache like talibans.
They realy need to be able to get kits on Cache like Talibans, Hamas and nations like that.
Then you also can add the kit limitation for IEDs and stuff like that and it would be a nice feature I guess.

Think about the balance on the Map Karbala...
now its something like "go Bluefore to kill, go INS to die"...
to many Vehicles and to many Caches in the open. The Bluefor Team has to be realy... realy realy realy low on skill to lose this.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll answer a few of them quickly.

1) no, not possible. The bf2 engine is limited to 2 factions. Switching sides is always related to a death&respawn.
2) yes there would be certain ways, but most probably not gonna happen
3) I don't agree with that
4) Not sure what you are talking about, BF2 already has triggered dynamic sounds
5) Possible yes, but as bluefor wear helmets not 100% realistic. Pretty sure you can't do it faction specific.
6) This is not only about realism. I'm sure you are aware of the issue that you take over enemy kit geometries. Introducing these restrictions makes that less common.
7) Trainingmode represented a way PR should not be played. People who wanna improve their skillset can go and play the coop mode. We didn't want a "low spawntime, very gamey, teamworkless gamemode".
8) There will be some changes regarding kits in 1.0, stay tuned.
Different reloading types is not possible in BF2.
Can't comment on the IEDs.

There is nothing I can say about the last points.

1) Ok, engine limitations.

2) not so important like other things but good to add more atmosphere.

3) You dont agree with that? Why? Its cool for a Mortarcrew to get 100 of civilian kills because they run into the line of fire with their own will? Ok! Im confused about it. Realistic, Teamplay! I see.

5) I think its not only about realism, because you said this right on point 6)

but anyway...


7) Guys like me trained public guys in the trainingsmode to fly a chopper, to land a chopper and stuff like that. Now its not possible because a damn MIG bombed our Mainbase...

And I trained a lot of guys because it was funny for me and for them, why this is not the point in PR?
Because one or two guys just try to rape enemys with a Shilka somewhere? Ok, nice idea to add bots, because they do it with a Mig, more then one time in a month.

Teamless gameplay? Why its teamless to help other people to fly or use this and this kits?
Now its better? cant see the point. Now its something like "lets shoot some bots".

And I guess its not a big deal to add some spawntime, why ever, to the trainingmode.

Im a little bit disapointet about the points, why you removed the trainingmode.

IMO, if you get shot in the head by a sniper rifle, that should count as DEAD-DEAD.

No helmet will protect you from a .338 round which travels at around 1 km/s. Nor a 7.62x51 travelling at around 800 m/s.

Inb4 GAMEPLAY DUUUUH

yeah but it would protect you if a bullet came at a angle and it would deflect the bullet then, which you cant simulate with BF2

I would really love to see a way to defuse remote triggered IEDs, I don't care what type of solution, as long as their is a way to defuse them or blow them up without conquering the kit it is linked to.

Think outside the box...

I find it hard to believe. It isn't a .22 LR bullet being fired.

Head shots and .50 cal rounds should be a dead-dead IMO (forget if .50s are, but I don't believe so).

.50s are instakill if they hit someone in the head in PR. Nothing else below it's caliber is instakill.

There have been several topics about it.

As I already explained the DEV teams opinion on most of the points while most of them being re-suggestions anyway I'm going to lock this thread.

For the future:
While we appreciate any feedback and suggestions it's not really clever to make such one big *** post. Splitting up in several small ones raises your changes to get approved and won't result in the thread getting locked in case of a derail.
