[SOLVED]

finally retired my old laptop(it can run PR but it's very laggy, that's why i gone afk..)

double click bf2.exe or pr.exe, black screen, then crash back to desktop

my spec:
Windows 8 Pro x64
Intel Core i5-3210M @2.5GHz
4GB DDR3 @800MHz
Intel Graphic HD4000 + nVidia GT650M 2GB GDDR5 (bf2 and pr.exe is set to run with GT650M)

i've made all drive up to date..

How i installed BF2:
i bought the legit copy of BF2 awhile ago, it was 3CD, put it in to CDROM and install like i used to, no erros
install 1.5 patch, it says i have a newer version installed, so i changed the registry make the Version = 1.0, 1.5 installed without error. then i installed PR, all 3 parts, no errors.


after searching on internet..still cant find a working solution

here is the things i've tried

- put pr.exe and bf2.exe run under all the compatibility mods with run as admin

- i've read this post :

after installing MSVC++ 2005 x64, restart the machine, no luck


help anyone?


PS: oops, i just realized there is a BF2 support forums..didnt see that..

Try loading your profile under BF2 Vanilla first. Sounds like the bug you get if you don't do that.

nope, i deleted everything in profile and run bf2.exe, same thing happens.

i've done that, and still wont work..that's why i post T_T

install 1.41 first, then 1.5.
