But one thing i strongly dislike about BF2 is i cant say "defend the base at E3" and now im like "meet me at uhm, the one base... near the right, but its closer to the hotel"

LAME!

Construction Site = easy to remember
Hotel = easy to remember

but the rest its hard to describe

so please i dont know what PR is doing for maps and stuff, i think "M" should still breing up a map for any soldier and shot only his location. squad leaders, should know where stragetic points are and should show up on their maps, such as CP and enemy radar and stuff, or maybe it should only show up if a commander tells them to attack that area.

just bring back F-1s and B-4s so people can relay info to eachother a little easier =)

coordinates... maybe? haha i dunno

Anyway i agree the maps are a little harder to navigate because of the lack of a.. number letter grid (easier to spell)

you end up with a bunch of different people giving different names to the CPs

We'll certainly be taking that into account, and looking at thoroughly for feasibility (pretty much means its gonna be done as you wish) :wink:

Do the minimaps have to be those detailed maps like the ones included? Personally I'd like to see contour maps.

ok so if there a letter/number grid (thanks broken arrow) will it be possible to have it so when you spot something, it says

"Enemy armour spotted (B-5)"

i like that idea, that way if its not immediately in the red on your mini map you'll have some idea where it is

Grid designations = good.

Whatever the magical god/devs deem realistic is probably fine with me.

Understood. However, Thats what squad leader is for. Granted it takes time to hit caps lock for the command screen, right click and give the designated order. Once you do all squad members will have a direction line to the point you designated on thier mini map.

I also like to give voice orders and I use a combination of both.

I see your point though.

Depending on what level you play? Clan/tournament? We used to extract the mini map .DDS file and edit and add flag Nrs......etc. Then make that file avaliable for download. Then It was a case of........"A coy attack flag one", "enemy at 2"

Not sure if this is possible in BF2?...........yet!

also pr definity has to help with the naming of places. i think that if we were in a combat there would be diffrent names or "code names" example can be omaha or utah beachs just somthing to make our life easyer(not sure if this is real or not)

squad leader can do all his shit from the T selection menu, defend attack need arty/uav etcetc.

and on this particular map its quite easy after getting used to it,

NW= river flag
SWmost coastal= centre beach flag/head
Smost coastal= south beach flag/head
construction site
hotel flag
MB
carrier
not such a biggy but i agree i think the T menus should be expanded to call for air support from your team on a certain area: in that commander and squad leaders can look sumwhere or go into capslock view and designate somewhere that needs an airstrike then the order goes out to anyone in an aircraft. could say need armour support and it says it only to those in or near a piece of armour/apc
