Dutch Forces?

Hey guys,

I've been inactive here for a while, and I remeber seeing a Dutch Forces faction too. Although it's invisible now..

Has it been cancelled?

The Dutch Forces has been "put on hold", and is unlikely to return into an active development cycle.

a) If that was true, it wouldnt survive the "purge" that occurred a while back

b) Are/were you part of the development team? It would actually make your statement legit.

Hi to make a few thing clear, the mod is not dead, development was halted for a while due to r/l issues but we will be back soon as we started working on it again recently, thats all for now.

Damn man, I'd really love to see Dutch forces in PR in the future.

Besides this the Dutch Armed Forces IRL have been going through quite some change. Both in structure and some new equipment and also has removed some equipment. For example the new upgrade kits they handed out for the C7. If the faction is to be up to date it would be a good idea to see the changes happen with the new reforms before precious time is spent on stuff that might not be needed or should be changed.

Currently we do not have the resources to have all our rifles remoddeled and textured if there is a DEV or community member who could you are welcome to step up, until that time comes we are keeping the old Diemaco's

We are focussing maps, vehicles, textures and bugs at the moment, progress can be seen on our facebook page.

But.....we were in Afghanistan before the update of the C7, so isn't it more realistic to keep the older one? If we use the current C7 instead of the one we had it is like playing PR:V with modern M16 rifles.

The problem is the Dutch Armed Forces are in a transition between old and new hardware and the organisation is changing aswell due to the cut backs, for gameplay sake we are ignoring most of that to be able to bring a complete mod to PR as soon as possible.

In Afghanistan we used YPR's Patria XA-188, the old MB290 but also the new Bushmaster and the Fennek.
The army is replacing this with CV90's Boxers, MB280 + more and decommissioning the Leopards but also the Cougar helicopters and such.

The hardware list the Dutch army used on which be based our mod initially has changed over the years and now we faced the dilemma to redo it all or continuing to bring this faction to completion.

We chose for the last.

Chances for that are 0,0%

Only the Raid at dawn map is like 99% ready but the rest is still pretty much 50% WIP.

Well I can model and texture, map and I know a little of exporting, but not too much actually.

Ive been keeping my eye on the dutch faction for a while. sad to see its halted for noww. Wish i could do texture/modelling and all that i'd totally help. dutch forces in PR would be amazing.

Development has started again since last month but we need experienced 3dsMax artists to work on the last models needed for the faction being complete.
If no one steps up this can take years...
