There are no binoculars in the game! Maybe I'm dumb and can't find them, but i checked the keyts and didnt see anything for them in there, maybe im a class that doesnt have them? I'm not sure if every soldier carries a pair of these, but i beleive that binocs should DEFINATLY be emplimented in PR!

for map like the demo its not really usefull, to my knowlege i dont thing EVERY soldeir in the field has binocs for the reason that there is no real need for them in certain envirments also they have enough things to carry for example maybe they might give them to a tank cammandor or a officer in a humvee.

i think spec ops should have them, and i think it is useful on that 32 player map, when a tank is far away, its difficult to tell if its looking at you or in the other direction, also bushes look like people sometimes. so i think some classes should have them. obviously a sniper should have them also.

i agree with you in that extent but make it like AA where you push a button that toggles it cause i dont want another thing to mess my scrolling of my waepons

totally agreed, the keys are kind of filled up for infantry commands, but im sure i could make room for it.

I miss binoculars. Although because of the map size, it's possible to eyeball most threats if you look hard enough, it still would be nice if squad commanders had access to them.

we might just have to wait and see, if we get a really huge map i think then it would definity be more practicle

well, we've only seen 16/32 player maps yet. so if you play the map in the demo at 64 binocs might be useful. anyway they shouldn't just enlarge the image and keep the maximum viewing distance but they should make you be able to look farther as well as enlarging.

maybe also adding a little somthing range or w/e(would be a nice touch) or or we could finaly use lazer guided missles...(or bombs)

id like to see the bincos in the sniper kit and used to calculate range and maybe have the sniper have to adjust for drop and what not, other than that id like to see them in all kits because there very useful since the most weapons dont have sights and cant zoom or anything

seeing as i can't hit the broad side of a barn. I think the sniper idea might be tough for me to stomach. But i'd really like to see some kind of digital meter.

binoculars are obviously a must have and im confident that the full version of BF2 will have them (as the thread states: how could they forget?) plus for all of you who've seen the E3 teaser at the BF2 website it was shown that binoculars are the vehicle for calling in laser guided strikes.
I think the range idea is great for the sniper since PR will be putting in bullett drop and such but why not just have that in the scope of the rifle?

the laser guiding will not be in i duno which teaser your talkiing about, maybe it was last years but that was cut from the game a while ago,

Those weren't binoculars, it was a laser designator. This feature was later removed. Also, they were used by the US Special Forces class, wich do not have any thing like that in the demo.

God damn, I was looking forward to those laser designators aswell.

i believe fortnight or someone said if they could add the laser designators they would

if they DO put Laser Designation in the game it wont be until a patch comes out. same with fast roping. But i don't think it's likely. They said it was unpractical. In all honesty I hope they fix alot of the problems that have been discussed in the ful retail version. ESPECAILLY the jumping problem!

He meant the mod. PR will be adding these things if it's still possible

ooh, ok, yeah i hope they figure out a way to do that.

I think the choppers should take more time to takeoff, if they're landed, so deploying infantry by fastroping while hovering, would actually be practical.
Oh yeah, and take those parachutes away.
Only pilots should be able to eject, so that the chute would open automatically.
I would even rather see the SpecOps fastrope, than do a HALO.
...instertion of a specops group with a littlebird, piloted by me, would be too cool though..
