First of all, assuming you're making stuff for BF2: do as much as you can in
Max 9.
Apart from that, have you actually applied a texture to it, or is it just the material? It looks like severe smoothing group/normal errors to me, which would probably be the result of exporting/importing it from Blender into Max. What format did you use?
Check if there are no double vertices (select all, weld on lowest threshold), no double faces (move some faces around and see if anything's below), is the UVW still okay (if there is one), maybe try resetting XForm (in the Utilities panel)..?

each face's map is using a material that isnt max's default. so assuming you added a shader to it in blender, its just not positioned in the correct UV directions? Sorry i dont use blender or max, i use mudbox and maya, but i recognise the problem.Looks like once you brought it into max the texture map placement get all screwed up. Maybe if you look at it in a UV editor that might help you understand more? Sorry.
also check in blender to see if there are any drop down menus in the export section that allow you to set it to Max, its a long shot but it might work if your lucky.

Oh btw it isn't my model I'm just texturing it and needed the model for reference and to put the texture on it. All the Uving is done as well. I just want to be able to apply the texture and it isn't working.
@Adrian, I've attempted to apply a texture and it doesn't do anything
@Psyko, Ill tell the person who made it to remove smoothing groups and any thing on the model and hopefully will fix it.

It was my model, problem has been fixed long time ago.
1: Model needs to be exported as 1 object only (it can have smoothing groups, UV, etc, no need to remove anything);
2: Model needs to be exported to .obj format, otherwise faces may be flipped like on screenshots above.
That's it. Cheers.
edit: regarding 1, it needs to be exported as 1 objects group*
