Would it be possible to mod support in for the view hat that most joysticks have? It would help pilots a lot, mainly im thinking when a heli pilot tries to land, he can look around and see his craft...

pissed they didn't do it in bf2.

maybe some way to alter or stream line the free look process.... so that it works.... i have on idea how to do that though.... is it possible?

What i have done is program my hat to the various views.

Up for pilot postion
Left for rear chase
Right for front chase

Something like that works, but it isnt the true free look that there should be.

Could you add it to the code where the game thinks that the hat in put is the same as the mouse input, that way you'd just have to press your mouse look button to look around.

what about a mouse emulator on the hat?
