PR on windows 8?

Hello,
PR wont start. I do get the first pop-up screen, but it wont go further..

It did not work. Al my drivers are uptodate.
Spec's;
CPU: AMD FX-8150
GPU: Msi R7870 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC
Mobo: ASUS M5A97
Memory: G.Skill 8 GB DDR3-1600 Kit RipjawsX

open BF2 vanilla and log in. Then close BF2 and try PR. That should do the trick(on Win7 at least)

You tried closing all programs like Xfire/Steam and disabled the Mumble Overlay? I have the impression that overlays of any kinds are causing trouble in Win8.

If I try to play vanille bf2 and I try to find my account it puts my back to my desktop.
I closed Steam and Origin and I used the disk version.
And I got the disk in my pc when I start the game.

yeah, it's a profile error. Log into bF2 vanilla and then restart.
edit: CTD in vanilla BF2 logging in? mmmm, strange

Before this I had AIX installed and had the same problem. I delete bf2 and did a fresh install and installed PR.
Edit: I installed the beta driver for my GPU and it started up! But I tryed to find my accoutn and it puts my back on my desktop..
Edit2: The game works when I play solo.

Install v1.41 then v1.5. Delete your shader cache. If using a Radeon card turn your CCC texture filtering setting to quality or lower, not high quality. Disable Mumble overlay. Run PR and Battlefield 2 as an administrator and in compatibility mode for XP.
Worked for me.
