Add Magazine Ammo Count

Okay I know someone is going to misunderstand me, I'm not talking about a bullet counter, I'm saying that it would be nice to have a number saying how many bullets each magazine holds. It would be nice to know before hand how many bullets are in each magazine, this way when I'm a sniper/marksman/anything I can better approximate how many rounds I can fire before I have to reload. Otherwise its just a guessing game. Again NOT suggesting an ammo counter, just a number indicating how many total rounds a magazine holds.

Well for assault rifles (M16, L85, G36...), it's always 30. Battle rifles (G3, M14...) 20. For others: The name of the weapon is always visible, and the ammo counts are realistic. Is it not an option to alt-tab and google, seeing how slow paced PR is?

A better idea is you should be able to hold down the reload button to check how much ammo you have in the magazine ive seen this in other games and it is very helpful.

Snipers often 5 or so...
Come on, why do suggestions like these come through, but some brainstorming material always goes unpublished...

Not possible.
Btw, the M16s in Vietnam have 20 rounds, the Officer version has 30 rounds.

The suggestion is not accepted, I merely wanted to comment.

So suggestions are moderated based on not how good they are but if the moderator wants to comment on it?
*facepalm*

Your putting words in their mouths now, don't do that shit.
The community creates suggestions, they either get accepted or denied. Accepting a suggestion doesn't mean they will become reality, it's merely opening a discussion about said subject.
The MODs don't have to explain a thing, this is how the system works.

Wouldn't it make sense for AR (belt fed) to see an approximative number of cartridge remaining ? Never shot a LMG IRL but from what I've seen it's pretty easy to see the end of the belt. Not an ammo count but maybe a color code system or something (green = almost full, yellow = half, red = 10 cartridge and under)
Just throwing ideas. Not even sure it would be possible to make something decent with BF2

Just do some research on the different weapons and how many rounds each magazine holds. Write them down if you need to. Making any changes to the game is rather unnecessary (and would require much more work), especially when such information is easy to find.

It's pretty much become second nature for me to reload when I feel the mag is hitting rock bottom. I almost never reach "click-click", unless the mag holds less rounds than the standard 30.

Maybe this information could be added on the weapon icon in the selection menu, where you have the weapons' name too.

Sound good but what about request-only kit ?
Still throwing ideas : The Wiki could be useful for that. What happened to it ? It was nice to see the factions's guns and map layout

I'm pretty sure he means the tab on the side of the screen when you select the weapon (either via mouse wheel or 3).
If that's not what he meant, then this would be the better option anyway (or I guess best of all would be both on there and on the spawn menu).

Pointless IMO. Most of the people who play PR seem to have a fair amount of knowledge in terms of military weapons, and know how many rounds the weapons use. I often reload an M16 or M4 before firing 15 rounds anyways in order to have a full magazine if I am rushed or attacked.

True. You dont need the game to hand it to you. Go do some research, educate yourself, that is all a part of playing PR. Thi isnt COD, for the umpfth time.
