I am buying this MB and was aaking for help on which ram to buy.

i am putting it with this CPU that i already bought 3 months ago. and a sapphfire ati 7770 1gb vid card

which ram should I get. i would like to upgrade the ram to 16gb one day but that wont be for awhile. the only intense game i play is bf3 and it takes up on auto settings about 80% cpu and 85% of ddr2 4gb ram that i currently am using. i also stream games like iracing and PR with xsplit. and would like to try to stream bf3 IF i can but prolly wont be able to without an intel CPU. but that is not why i am upgrading, im giving my old parts to a friend.

also i do not overclock any of my stuff. i oc'd a vid card that i had according to the Hardware reviews, Overclocking, Tech News and Enthusiast Community Homepage - Overclockers Club settings that where for the exact card that i had and it broke the card when i turned it back on lol. so no more oc for me

The Corsair you selected will probably be slightly better as it has tighter timing. The secret here is those are almost exactly the same memory, if you slightly overclocked the Corsair to 2133Mhz, it would also probably run at CL11.

As a caveat, if anything goes wrong, dealing with TigerDirect customer service is a nightmare, and be very careful with any rebates directly from TigerDirect, they are notorious for randomly denying rebates. PHOTCOPY ALL of the required documents for TigerDirect rebates, including the front of the envelop after you've put a stamp on it. No joke.

That is a really good value for that high quality mobo.

Doing a light overclock on that cpu mobo combo is very easy, you can with almost no risk get another 10% out of that CPU.

Just watch out for the height of the vengeance ram, its pretty high.
It will block many cpu coolers. You maybe want to consider buying the vengeance low profile ram.

True story, I have the Corsair Vengeance and wish I would've gotten the low profile.

My CPU cooler turned paper weight agrees.

thanks so much for the advice and especailly for telling me about low profile ram. but i have changed my motherboard to this
