Sunday Night 24th of February - Karez Testing
Hello ladies and gentlemen! I would like to invite you to an evening full of fun gaming, but also to test out my map. As it is updated in a steady pace each week. And to ensure I can test out different layers and stability issues.
The maplist will be as follows:
Qwai River
Karez Offensive
Burning Sands
Goose Green
Karez Offensive

Localization Files:

Put this file in mods\pr\localization\YOURLANGUAGE
Time the event starts:
The server should be up all day.
The Password wil be in the servers name.
And this will take place each sunday, starting with the 24th of February

Ran a quick test, I was getting some flickr with the terrain, on long distances the terrain looks fine, close up, 30x30 meter squares of ground disapears.
Was running everything on high except for Anti-Aliasing that was set to off

Theres some weird bug where huge parts of the terrain become invisible and you can see the ocean under the map.

Thats weird, cause Ive tested it on my PC. And that doesnt happen. Can you take a screenshot of it?

I've had that problem before but it was with Battlefield 2 itself for me. So what I did was I just reinstalled BF2 and it was fixed. It might not be the map itself.

I dont think its client, maybe a bad render of terrain textures? hit me up next time your on xfire Wicca, and ill Broadcast it so you can see it

There you go, thats from the spawn screen in the beginning, its the same all over the map, but like I said, very distant stuff is still there its like close up and its doing this.
Ei, if you get in a jet and fly up a little high, you dont see this at all

Go into your server.zip and then open terrain.con
Check if this line is there:
terrainCuller.setUseStitchedLods 0
This is how my map looks from my POV.
Are you sure you have the latest files? What settings are you running?

Hmm it seems the first download I did was corrupt, after redownloading it, its perfect

, so works just fine now ^^
