A way for Medics to tell if someone is definitely dead

It's been a little while since I've played (.957) so I don't know if something has been implemented since, but whenever played as a Medic and my squad would get shot up in one area, (some dead and some not) I could never tell who's body is who's and I can't tell if any random allies that are down are actually dead or just wounded and waiting for a medic and I end up wasting epipens. If someone's dead could there be like a bloody uniform or something?

If you use Mumble you can just check with the H button asking "Are you still here?" if he responds he's still alive, if not, dead.
Actually, IDK if when I'm dead people can hear me or not, if yes, don't mind my answer.

Yeah, you can tell when someone is wounded but revivable initially, but soon all the bodies look the same. Unless they are spamming the call medic button. The solution is to use mumble local chat. "WHO IS REVIVABLE?" Those who respond get res'ed, anyone else is presumed dead.
Without mumble you could ask people to right click on the give up/call medic button on the wounded screen then check the map for medic symbols.
Finally when reviving a friendly squad ask "WHO'S THE MEDIC?" and get that guy up first, then SL, HAT etc.
Cheers, Murkey.

When Installing Mumble, enable overlays so you know who is talking. Go to Configure, Settings, then at the bottom click on the Overlay -> Check 'Enable Overlay'
When you boot into PR:BF2 you should see it.
It's good to know who is who.

Open the medic bag, press Q, and select the "Medic here" or whatever it is. Check your map for revive symbols. That usually works for me.

Why is it that I'm hearing about this only now?
Thanks for the info though.

If it does not reply in local mumble, it is not worth a revive

Is that even confirmed? Maybe it was just coincidence?

I don't really medic enough to be 100% if it works or not. Just seems like it had before, if anyone wants to disprove it I say go right ahead lol.

When a downed person has it's eyes open it means he's still alive, when they're closed he's dead dead.
The only problem is that when they're facing the ground you can't tell so you have to ask them.

The medic bag thing doesn't work I think? people just have to call out for a medic by right clicking on give up and it's ok

I can't confirm you first bit (hopefully it does work!), but the second part isn't as good. You get two clicks of medic when you're in the wounded screen which will call out for a medic and display your body with a little flashing revive symbol so they can see it on the map, and also when they're close to you.
After those two, right clicking medic only calls out and doesn't display your icon - but you do get to see the medics on the map, so it's a bit easier to guide you in. A combination of that + mumble usually yields a success, but it's still time consuming and annoying when you're amidst a sea of bodies.
The problem with the first two clicks is that I'm usually mashing the fire button when I die, so at least one disappears straight away and more often than not the second one also goes then.

Good old BF2 reflex.

Wasted all the medic calls!

Wait what? No you can right click the give up button anytime to show up on the map for the medic, with a little medic symbol. It's just that the body itself won't be seen in 3D with a flashing symbol after a while, but the medic map call will still work.
