As above. I get a new computer within the next week with good specs.

Therefore i will buy a new monitor as well. Now im thinking about a 27" with 2640 x 1440 Res.

I know its possible to set the resolution in the shortcut. But how will it look? Is it going to be better then 1920 x 1200 ? Can the engine handle this?

Are you sure its in the select options? I haven't checked in a while... How does it look?? Do you see more?

It looks the same it looks with a lower resolution. Yes you should see more.
I got the 1920 x 1200 and I can see a dude 1km away. he is actually exactly 1 pixel huge I just notice the pixel, if he moves. with a higher resolution you can see past 1km. Thats how it should be, or maybe Im wrong.
Thats it: higher resolution -> see everthing better.

More detail because there are more pixels to represent the blob.

How I want a larger screen than 1900x1200..

I have a 1440x900 screen, but due to 64Mb of VRAM and crappy specs, I play in 800x600 and still pwn eveyone

2560 x 1440 is the new PR standard. Deal with it.

2560x1440 is amazing. everything is so crisp and AA (anti-aliasing) is almost optional.
imagine in the future, when 2560x1440 in 120hz on a 24 inch IPS monitors are out :d

Imagine that this was actually invented years ago, just like 4k TVs, but, due to corruption and money minded companies, they've never released it because everyone still buys and is still happy with ugly 1080p TVs and 22 inches 60Hz 1920x1080 monitors.

This is how society works. Same with planes, cars, buildings and everything we use daily

There are 2560x1440 in 120hz on a 24 inch monitors available for ~US$300, not "IPS" though.
