hey everyone. I downloaded this mod because it looked amazing. I tried playing with bots but it was very confusing especially with the bots lack of team work (not really anything surprising). So I had a few questions


1. Is there anyway to play all the maps in single player? I really want to try the Vietnam maps out.

2. How am I suppose to play this game? I know its realistic but I still dont know the "right" way to play

3. are there anymore servers? I see only like 2 or 3 that have people. We should try and get more advertising out!

4. What is the 1.00 update going to have?

Are you sure you're checking regular servers (under "Deployment", not "Co-op")? You can see populated servers over here outside of the game: Project Reality: PRSPY

As for learning how to play, the best thing to do is join a squad and let your SL know you're new to the game. Chances are he'll help you out with stuff. Other than that, make sure to read the manual included with the install. It covers all the basics and then some.

Ah I see, thanks for the link! I check last night around 10:00 pm pacific time. and there were 2 full servers and the rest were empty. And I will read the manual also!

During US peak times, the EU servers are often empty already. If you're unlucky, you really only have a few full servers then, but just try to hop on anyway.

Welcome Kothen! To the Project Reality Forums.

1. Unfortunately no, only some of the maps are available for co-op (singplayer). But suggest Vietnam maps when server admins are asking for maps to vote for.

2. As Adriaan said, hop in an infantry squad online and let the squad leader know that you are new, most likely he and the other squad members will be more than glad to help out.

3. There many servers but during the weekdays they are not very populated let alone full. On the weekends however, 6-8 may be up and running. The popular US servers are CIA and HOG, but 4th SFG and BW are also great servers if you seen them online.

4. Face breaking new content that will break many, many faces. Check out the devcasts on YouTube,
where the devs talk about weapons, sounds, animations, kits, new features, etc, etc

Ah, just don't stick your head out too much and don't shoot at something that you can't win against, and you should live Follow your squad leaders orders, and if he gets you killed, go look for a better squad. Stick to infantry, say you're new, and things will go fine. Unless your squad leader isn't good, but there's always more than one squad^^

Would you recommend using the mumble?

Absolutely.

Increases immersion and team cohesion 100x (a number plucked out of my bum.. but you get the point )

Yes, you are going to die a LOT. But thats part of the new player experience and we all had to go through it. Just stick with it and you'll be racking up the kills in no time.

As far as playing the game the "right" way, there really isnt a right way to play it, but if you want to see some great infantry tactics you should check out phlupple on youtube, he's prolly one of the better players right now.

Mumble is mandatory! Most servers require Mumble, I believe. It's an essential part of PR, really.
