[HELP] bf2 editor, when placing object.

Dear PR community.

I have been playing around with the BF2editor for a while and hoping to finish my current wip as i continue on it.

i messed up the level settings with the sky or shadows maybe or at least i did something wrong after that. i was changing the fog and sky setting, etc.

My problem:
when i load my map in the editor everything looks fine, as soon when i try placing a object in the level editor everything goes black, the ground, the objects and the water, the sky stays blue howsoever.

Is there a file i can delete in my map folder so it will reset or take a few files out and copy them over to a new map folder and keep the terrain/objects?

I have searched true the forum and cannot find anything similar to my problem.
Greetings, meus.

EDIT: The problem was with the "preview" function, updating my PR_edit folder worked just fine.

I wrote the reply below before I realized you edited your post. Glad to hear you solved the problem... but I'm confused. What is the "preview" function?
Hi Meus,

I haven't experienced your problem or heard of anyone who has, but it sounds like a video card problem, especially if it's an ATI card.

You might want to update your video card drivers. Also, try deleting your cache folders for BF2 and PR. There is a help thread here with more details: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-pr ... s-etc.html

If that doesn't work, you might also try using older video card drivers.

Good luck and keep us up-to-date if you solved it or need more help. :)

Hey Thanks, howsoever much appreciated, never had the problem before, i actually never updated the PR_edit file since Vietnam was released and then i messed with the level setting and as soon i tried that, preview in render texture mode everything would be black.

"Preview function" this would be the best as i would name it.
