What if kits were worth tickets too?

Once again, it's TomRobs with another wacky zany idea!
After reading yet another thread about turning crewmen and pilots into medics fully capable of healing broken arms and legs with patches, someone noted that it's all too easy for members of downed crew to simply press the suicide button, lose one more ticket and get back into the fight.
I'm all for the idea that crewmen and pilots should try and make it back to base or stay alive as long as possible. It's realistic, gives a bit of variety to the game if a commander tells a mechinf squad to go and pick them up or something similar, but the problem is that the lure of that suicide button is all too great for players who have very little patience.
This gave me an idea.
Similar to how vehicles are worth tickets, say 20 for tanks and helis, 10 for logis etc, what if kits in game were worth tickets too?
For example, Officers are worth 10, snipers, HAT, AA and other limited requestables are worth 3/4, crewmen and pilots are worth 7, and riflemen kits and grenadiers are worth 1?
I think this would help gameplay because it means people are more inclined to try and stay alive, squads are more likely to want to go and pick up that heli or tank crew, and people will (hopefully!) start to think a little more about taking limited kits and wasting the.

I don't like this idea very much. If heli would be destroyed in air, it would be already 27 tickets lost (almost 1/25 of tickets per round on AAS). Also, the number of tickets for officer is too high.
I really love the idea of [R-DEV]AFsoccer, as long as the suicide button would take higher cost only when player is alive, so players which are wounded but don't have a chance to be revived by teammate can give up without any penalty(only standard 1 ticket).

helis is 5 tickets when it gets killed, plus 1 for the pilot that is 6.
Officer, I assume you mean commander you lose the same amount of tickets as a commander when you are a normal infantry guy.

I agree though i also think the LAT needs to be nerfed aswell for example i was playing taliban and an APC came along the road and i ambushed it with an rpg damaging it and forcing it to withdraw saving the cache and god knows how many lives then an infantry man shoots me as i head back for more ammo.
end result 1 death -10 points. something is wrong there.

I don't like this idea. If a team has bad players who get killed a lot or waste heavy team assets why compound the punishment further. Could possibly work only with a more experienced player base

downside would be when ppl dont care for teamwork will suicide and cost the team 10 tickets (or however many)
punishment for suiciding should be similar to killing civis out of ROE.
longer spawn time (already in place), and lose points/kills

Would make sense if you meant vehicles don't cost tickets, only the crewmen that drive them? Otherwise the loss of tickets would be insane and max ticket count would need to go up to make up for it.

Not really, because it means if you rescue the crew, you don't loose any tickets, just have to wait for the asset to respawn...

If a team has bad players they deserve to be be slammed into the ground. I would be on that taem 90% of the time so that would make me rage, as i wasnt the cause.

Sorry about the poorly written OP everyone, this idea quoted, or having a ticket cost for suidice, was the main gist of my original point!
Also - i only put down the ticket costs for the kits as an example, i know it'd cost a stupid amount of tickets to actually put those figures in!
But one of the devs made a good point in that in would only benefit an experienced player-base. A good point, but i think that this would mean that we get more experienced players becoming good squad leaders, working together (VIA MUMBLE!) taking newer players under their wings and teaching them not to play like it's call of dooootie!

Why not both? 5-10 tickets taken and straight 300(adjust if you think it's too much) seconds of waiting for respawn. Tickets would make experienced players think before suiciding, and bad players would stop suiciding, because they would have to wait a long time before respawning.

lol... 300 seconds of waiting... The dude's just gonna leave the server and rejoin xD

He would be too afraid of leaving the server. Someone would take his slot, even though he did rejoin, he could be on the wrong side of teams. Also, as I said. It doesn't have to be 300 seconds. It can be 180 seconds for example.
