Flares don't drop away from aircraft fast enough

Flares in 0.981 retains too much forward momentum from the aircraft, so they dont' actually fall AWAY from the aircraft, causing missiles to still detonate and damage the vehicle. This is not too much of a problem for jets because they move so fast, but for slower planes and helicopters it is a huge problem since hitting a flare and hitting the vehicle in PR is pretty much the same due to the proximity fuses of missiles. For example, a lot of times flares of helicopters would fly alongside the aircraft during a dive. Also, this physical behavior of flares makes turning away from missiles really difficult as the flares follow you, leading the missile towards you instead of away.
Notice how much the flares on this F18 lose momentum as soon as they are popped.

EDIT,
Also, referencing the video I posted and the one from below, the ROF and flare count for both jets and choppers need to be greatly increased. Currently, there's no way to emergency dump flares for jets and choppers, and there's no way to drop single flares for choppers.
