Basically what happens is this: I click on the icon to start Mumble. (yes as admin) And all I get is the option to send a report because it doesn't start. The thing is, it worked 5 months ago ( I took a break) on the same computer. It puzzles me.

I have Windows 7 Premium 64 bit.
If you need any more information then tell me and I'll provide to the best of my ability.

I hope that somebody can help since it makes playing on any serious level impossible.

PS: the only thing that has changed is that I updated PR to the new version 0.981.

Have you tried reinstalling it?

Yes I have, but I'll try redownloading and reinstalling now.

Ok. the strangest thing just happened.
I clicked on repair when asked what to do and after that tried to start it again. No luck.
So it thought: "Screw it I'll reinstall again" So I press the button to uninstall and BAM. It started after giving me an error message that it was unable to find the mumble overlay library ( I assume because I just had it all deleted).

It has now started and I am connected but afraid to close it for fear it'll not start again.

So i closed it and reinstalled. I am now back where I started and it's crashing when I try to start it again.

When uninstalling there are some files remaining in "user/Anwendungsdaten"...

So I managed to get it running. Turns out I have to run it in compability mode with windows XP service pack 2.
