Ok im literally begging for help on this one, here's my problem:

So after installing new DDR2 ram from my old one i go from 4gb to 8, this is the MOST significant change to my system before it started crashing, anyway this is what happens.

When i launch vanilla bf2, it crashes, its not at a certain point either, its sometimes at the EA logo, sometimes at the Dice or at the login screen, i used "+ restart" at it crashed at the options menu, i have deleted the profile, reinstalled, updated, back dated the drivers i have gone back to the old ram, gone back to the new ram, nothing seems to have worked until randomly today it started working!

i was playing a game and then left, upon trying to restart PR i get the crash so i tried vanilla BF2, it's crashing again, anyone please anyone have any ideas?

Are all your other Directx9 games working?

Mismatched memory could be the problem, but it's not certain,
quickest test is to simple unplug PC, and pull out the new RAM, and test .

Could be as simple as mismatched RAM timings, or something like that.

Google or Youtube search for RAM diagnostic tools and a tutorial on how to use them, you simply want to know exactly what modules you have, and you might need to perform a some tests on your RAM sticks, and now your motherboard RAM slots.

Also, you can try swapping which slot you put each stick of RAM.

Are you using a 64 bit version of Windows?

yea using a 64 bit, every other game works, and it's been running fine for 2 months bf2 is the only game thats the problem
