alright i dont know where to put this and i havent seen any topics on this as well and i hate starting new threads but damn if this isnt the biggest pain in the *** and i know im not the only one this happens to and it only seemed to have started a couple of weeks ago.

the problem is that while playing pr mumble decides to move people out of their sqd and into the root channel and you have no idea this has happened.

so i ask if anyone knows what the deal is and is there a way to fix it

this is happening to me too, just started in the last week or so. i just fix it by leaving and rejoining my squad really quick, but it is slightly annoying.

ive also only noticed this recently, up to two weeks ago never had this problem.. whats happening i believe is mumble is auto-kicking to server lobby people who havent said anything for x minutes (pressing any of the buttons, dont think it matters whether or not you say anything) ive started just tapping the local chat button every couple of minutes, although i dont always think about it. pretty annoying, not sure if it was changed recently or ive just never noticed it before.

I am talk **** all the time and I still get kicked out of my squad every 5 to a X amount of minutes, it is really annoying.

Some further adjustments were made today to the mumble scripts to try and solve this issue. The idle kick was implemented, because I was pretty pissed at consistently seeing 400 people on mumble, yet only 200 people ingame. The idle kick time is 60 minutes, which is more than long enough.

sounds good ancient....i figured yall knew about it but damn if it wasnt annoying, especially as squad leader.

That means the issue most of us have is not due to your auto-kick. I guess that thing makes sense. Sometimes I forget to close mumble after playing and suddenly I hear loud russian voices in my room - quite embarassing when you have guests

that is very nice solution but if i was AFK and get "idle kick" ,how do i reconnect without restarting mumble all over again ? :3

its more then annoying to me.

first few times it happends its just like wtf not again. but when it happends 10-15 times per day and 2-3-4 times per map it pisses me off.

It got to the point where I was being kicked from the mumble channel while I've actively been talking.

I hope this has been fixed now. More than slightly irritating when you're in a vehicle and in combat.

Good news right there AM! Hopes are high it is all good again.

Being moved out of channel hasn't happened to me in a while. But what does happen daily a couple times is microphone locked open or people can't hear me. Restarting mumble fixes this but it's a bigger annoyance as I'm still in channel but we cant hear each other. I hope that 1.0 brings an update to mumble.

Still got switched (I was not the only one) to the server's lobby channel pretty often on PRTA und QRF servers yesterday.

Just happened twice in my squad. I talked like 2 mins. shooting for help. No one responed.

Is that thing has something to do with the net?

To make things a little easier I, once again, highly advice people to use an overlay for mumble!

If you enable "show all in same channel" (I believe), you get to see all your Squadmembers. Once you or any of them gets moved out you will have a much easier time to know about it. BEFORE the tragic stuff happens!

I feel so awkward when not playing with the overlay ;P
But unfortunatly using it does not resolve the probem completely, sometimes I get switched but go to a channel with exact same number of players as in my squad so I never notice ;/
