Hi, Its been around 2 years since I've played PR. I was thinking of coming back with the release of v1.0 since I won't have to patch and download a million files. Just wondering how strong the player base is still and if it's worth coming back.

It is worth coming back.

weekend peak times ~ 500 players
europe peak times ~ 300-400 players
US peak times ~ 200

With 1.0 those numbers will more then double or quadrupedal depending on how well 1.0 gets out there.

I sure as hell will even spend money helping advertise PR 1.0 by spamming it to LAN gaming places around my town. I guarantee you it will be worth it!

I think it will be for few months. 1.0 have so much awesome content, that it's impossible to check it in one or two weeks. Also when people get used to 1.0 awesomeness Normandy and probably Falklands will come, which will keep players busy even longer.

right now there's basically 5 full servers. PR's player number has barely decayed for years. IF players come back for a little while post 1.0 and then leave, there's still plenty left over.

Mate when PR Vietnam came out numbers doubled you seriously 1.0 will only manage that for a week or 2!?

Question's been answered:
There's still some full servers around, no worries. Got better with the recent releases, and Tactical Gamer made a return, although not 24/7.
