Hello PR forums, I've gathered information about where the maps in PR actually take place, the way i did this was by using the longitude and latitude coordinates. Although some are waaaaay off, most seem to be in order. Here goes!

Asad Khal: Idak, Pakistan (32? 58' N 70? 11 E) This is a bit weird since the fighting factions are IDF and Hamas, but if i recall correctly the map had GB vs MEC when it first came out, So maybe that's why it is in Pakistan

Fools Road: Vani-Zeda Vani, Vani, Georgia (42? 02' N 42? 28 E)

Gaza Beach: Herzliya, Israel (32? 9' N 34? 48' E)

Goose Green, Darwin Road, (Goose Green or Darwin, not sure) Falklands Islands (51? 49' S 58? 58 W)

Jabal Al Burj: Searching with longitude and latitude on google maps didn't give any specific result, only that it is Lebanon. (34? 7' N 35? 51' E)

Karbala: Karbala, Iraq (32? 36' N 44? 1' E) Pan the map a bit to the right to find the 2 mosques

Kashan Desert: Kashan, Iran (Coordinates didnt specify anything, but i trust the map creator that it is in Kashan ) (33? 59' N 51? 35' E)

Kokan: Somewhere in Afghanistan (35? 58' N 68? 40' E)

Korengal Valley: Korengal, Afghanistan (34? 52' N 70? 53' E)

Kozelsk: Kozelsk, Kaluga Oblast, Russia

Lashkar Valley: Laškar Gāh, Afghanistan (31? 32' N 64? 20' E)

Muttrah City: Muttrah, Musctat, Oman (23? 37' N 58? 34 E)

Operation Archer: Somewhere in Afghanistan (35? 58' N 70? 12' E)

Operation Barracuda: Phu Quy, Vietnam (10? 31'N 108? 56'E)

Pavlovsk Bay: Coordinates says that it is in Russia, but i believe that the mapcreator said that it was a fictional location (Much like Jabal) (59? 56' N 30? 10' E)

Qwai River: Soi Tha Makham, Tambon Ban Nuea,Thailand (14? 1' N 99? 31' E)

Ramiel: Mogadishu, Somalia (2? 2' N 45? 21' E)

Shija Valley: De Hui Shi, Changchun, Jilin, China (44? 37' N 125? 45' E)

Siege at Ochamchira: Ochamchira, Abkhazia (Georgia) (42? 44' N 41? 25' E)

Silent Eage: Kaluzhskaya oblast, Not far from moscow, Russia (55? 3' N 36? 30 E)

Tad Sae Offensive: Luang Prabang, Laos (19? 53' N 102? 8' E)

The Falklands: Falklands Islands (51? 48' S 59? 20' W)

Vads? City: Vads?, Norway (70? 4' N 29? 44' E)

Vietnam Battle of Ia Drang: Ia Drang Valley, Gia Lai, Vietnam (13? 34' N 107? 40' E)

Vietnam Dien Duong: Quang Nam, Vietnam (15? 55' N 108? 18 E)

Yamalia: Novyy Urengoy, Russia (66? 17' N 76? 37 E)

Vietnam Charlies Point: coordinates gives the same as Qwai River even though Qwai river is in Thailand and Charlies Point in Vietnam, That was all i could find, PR:N maps didnt have any coordinates.

Ye and additionally here is Al Basrah from above at night. Filmed it during my flight to Muttrah

what are those massive fires? :0 They are in the middle of the city.

I guess they are blazing oil rigs? Since they light up kind of every couple of seconds periodically. Does not look like a normal fire.

wow that shija valley is pretty accurate in PR !
when you look at the real life map it just looks exactly the same, despite the missing airfield and some villages

What made you pick that location for a level?

A Tactical Gamer friend of mine (CharityCase) was thinking of making a map for PR. At the time, Qwai River was very popular so he decided he wanted to make a larger version of Qwai and asked for suggestions on real-world locations. I found this on Google Earth and provided him the link... and although he never made a map, I decided to give it a try.
