Hey everybody
I made this thread to talk about resolutions. What resolution do you play at, which is the best, what do you think will happen in 1.0 where most of the factions binoculars will be removed.
For me its really hard sometimes to identify the person 500m away from me without binoculars whether is friendly or enemy.
The res I play on is 1280x720 because of performance issues.
Geometry and terrain on medium seems to improve my vision a bit but still doesnt really help

the best resolution is always the one of your monitor? Going lower makes it worse, making it bigger makes it not display anything except a black screen. I guess a bigger monitor is always better for PR

I play on a 17inch myself, I could really use a bigger screen. but then again I don't have to turn my head, everything is right in front of me, I quite like that.

Guys, I used to play 1920x1080, then my screen derped and I was stuck with 1440x900. It was painfull to play PR, couldn't see good.
Get a 22'' screen that can do 1080p (1920x1080), 16:9

Some people fudge their settings so low, it benefits them in spotting enemy far away. The enemy will show up as a straight pixel instead of tiny blur. That sucks and is cheating imo. People do it all the time though

1900x1280, I want a screen twice as big though so ironsights/aimpoint can contend with the scoped guns a bit better.
Trouble is, the prices are exponential with relation to resolution..
Is it your CPU or your graphics card that is limiting you?

I often play in windowed mode @ 1440x900. But when in fullscreen, it's 1680x1050 (22" screen).

Why do some people play in windowed mode? I can understand for hardware reasons but I don't get it when people just use windowed mode because.

fast 'alttabbing', loading maps while doing something else. That's what I would do it for.

And debugging.
On topic I play at 1024x768 on 15inch monitor, but I am going to switch to something bigger soon.
