Well since BF2 still follows more or less the same structure as BF42 and BFV, I'm sure it wasn't all that hard to port the h4x as well. Hopefully server admins will make good use of their PB Screenshots. Dead Meat community is pretty good at wiping these ppl out.

i dont get the point of playing games if you hack them? lame. i hope retail version eliminates this more.

People hack and cheat because they got their *** kicked in the beginning and thought: He I want to own to! So they got some hacks and bragged around the net that they are so uber l33t and all. And then when they play without they find out they are just as bad as when they started.

It's been pretty bad with America's Army, where you gain much more than in BF. Punkbuster usually catches the hacks when new PB versions are released, but the hacks update pretty quick too. In the latest 2.4 version it seemed that PB had won, but lately the lamers have been able to hide bots and so not from PB. Only good thing about the situation is that server with a admin and PB shots still work.

My friend plays Halo 2 on Xbox live a lot, he talks about how at his level, the people he plays are always cheating. They put actually chips in their Xbox to where they can walk through walls, fly, run fast, jump high, shoot tank shells rapid fire from their shotgun, etc...
So the only defense against this was getting enough people to report them so Xbox Live admins could ban their account, but now there's a hack that can un-ban you.
It's amazing how far people will go to cheat to get ahead in a game.
What's the point of being high-ranked if you didn't earn it? If they are that bored, why don't they go try to get laid for heaven's sake?

I think that's the problem, they can't get laid.

Hmm.. Anyone who uses hacks like that must have some serious self esteem issues, and they have my pity, poor souls.

Or they're only 12 and conned their parents into buying a game which is too hard for them...[rant] Lock their parents away for a month.. [/rant]
At least compared to Joint Ops, which is rife with cheats, BF/PB does catch many of the BF cheaters and they're banned from servers (unlike JO

)
There are loads of wankers playing games online unfortunately; cheats, people who TK on purpose, either to cause offence, or to grab a vehicle before you do (happened to me today as I was heading for a Mig). It's just a shame we can't filter these people out... [rant]with a few laps around a parade square in full kit, they wouldn't take the pee again...[/rant]

i have the same question as a few of you, wheres the satisfaction with cheating? maybe its fun for like 10 minutes but then it just gets to be a game thats too easy with cheats and too hard without them, see how fast that game ends up back on your shelf.
As far as the xbox live thing goes a few of my friends have the mod chips and theyre alot of money to buy and now i guess xbox live can pick up on them if you go on Live with a modbox. but first of all the question is why play halo2?
something tells me that cheating wont be a huge problem with project reality, people who want to play with cheats will probably just play bf2. they wont DL project reality because they wouldnt be going for realism if theyre gunna cheat. plus in a smaller community, like the one we have with PR i think it would be easier to track the players who cheat and how to get rid of them.
Is there anyway the mod itself can improve on the anticheat stuff like PB found in BF2? so that it will make it harder for people who are stupid and low enough to try cheating in PR?

I think the best way to safeguard against cheats on any online game is to have decent admin staff. I am admin for 2 of our CoD clanservers and anyone found cheating or just acting like a **** gets banned. If most of the good servers do this then player will know that they will be almost cheat free.
The worst thing about Bf2 is the amount of teamkills. You get 2 people going round toether and if you happen to get in a vehicle they want they stick C4 on it or shoot you down

The sad thing is i havent seen any admins who stop it on servers I have been on. Then you get people who get tked deliberately so they can try and get you kicked or banned from server by jumping into your fire or deliberatley run onto freindly landmines, I even got one who jumped on top of my helicopter so when I took off it killed him. I dont see why Bf2 is plauged with people destined to ruin the game for everyone. Hopefully they will only play the demo and not buy the full game...

Sam that is very wishfull thinking, there will be more people like this when the full game comes out because id bet more people will buy the game then downloaded the demo. i think the ranked servers will be the safest places to play cause it looks like EA is taking a no BS approach to that stuff.

I would think tho that ppl may buy the demo and just 'mess' around on it. Thats why there are so many tkers etc as its free. If people are going to pay £40 to buy the game they are less likely to go and spend that money to just play to tk their own side...

I wouldn't count on that, i've seen it with many games and we will (unfortunatly) see it in the future too.

yeah you can make an argument for that, but remember (im sure everyones had these days) sometimes people just want to screw around and be like that, as long as there are games there will be people doing that kinda stuff and i figure that some of the tkers you see sometimes play games like normal people, trying to win. so those same people we see screwing around could, in the next round be serious about it.
