The issue was not the Nvidia drivers. The punkbuster staff has confirmed the bans for AIMBOT #50120 to be false positives, the bans are now being lifted!

I had Pink SOD so rolled back luckily

Few PR names on that list all hail PB SNAFU.

It is not recommended to install the following nvidia driver:

320.18 WHQL

Now I know what it was - it was my love to PR and lack of additional funds for BF2 cd-key.

Damnit I have it downloaded, Ive been able to play but since yesterday Ive been getting Error: Unable to open BF2 process on start up, sometimes it runs, sometimes it doesn't.

Damn good thing I haven't played it since then. Better rollback my drivers.

PBBans will most likley lift the bans, as soons as the Evenbalance confirms, that it can be caused by a non-cheat software.

Ahh I've seen some people being banned for aimbot on HoG, at first I chuckled thinking who'd ever try that

this should be on the front page that way it scrolls at the bottom of bf2....ive been seeing alot of people get banned

Thanks for the heads-up. Guess I'll hold off from applying it until these problems are fixed.

I'm not sure where this info came from, but it doesn't seem to be the only cause. Does anyone know the source of this?
