Hello friends! I (As you can see) am very new to PR. VERY new. Well, I downloaded the game through Desura. and when I get to play the game (Finally!), it takes an UNBELIEVABLY Long time. I waited around 15-30min and it loaded, greeeeeeaaaaaat. So yeah pressed the button, and nothing happens. Clicked it loads of times and nothing worked. when I reset my computer, before it completely resets the game, you see the start of the game where you chose the classes and such. then poof, its gone. I use BF2 CD and I am using Vanilla


Im sort-of weak at these topics, so I need some serious help! I love this game but I cant play it. It makes me feel really bad

My Computer is an E-Mechines
Model- EL1850
Processor- Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5800 @ 3.20GHz
RAM- 2.00 GB

Desura has had problems i heard...you should try installing the direct torrent downloads or from modDB and reinstalling. Make sure to use admin rights to install and run PR setups...if its a 32bit win 7 ur good if 64bit try running in xp compatability mode. with admin ....see if any of that helps man and let us know...

or i jsut reread your thing here and if your having trouble with the INSTALLER LOAD TIMES????
Those have always taken a LONNG time to load and start...IDK why some people complain about how long the installers load times are to even get the installer to start....Some people have no problem...??/
If its the installers your having trouble with...??Especially with the system your running on (older dual core emachines) Start witha fresh sesktop when your ready to install PR...and right click on the first Installer and start as admin...THEN WALK AWAY......your oc might freeze up and hour glass stay on forever...but eventually that installer WILL start...I remember when I started on a pentium 4 playing .87 it took about 15 solid mins of load time to get the installer going but it did.....

So either way man let us know...ive been having intermitent Win 7 peoblems so ill help any way i can

Does BF2 load quickly into maps?

As a matter of fact, it loads faster than any of my other games!!

Can I just confirm:

Are you talking about the installation process like irish2487 is referring to, or are you talking about the in-game, map loading time that I'm referring to? test

In game map loading. Im uninstalling PR and BF2. I hope it works!
