I really hope the devs release a PR v1.0 soundtrack that includes additional discs with music from older versions of PR, notably v0.9, v0.8, v0.6 and even earlier.
I already have a digital copy of v0.9, and an unofficial release of v0.8. I can't find any official releases of PR soundtracks before v0.9.
Here is an old video of music from PR v0.6 - brings back lots of memories
Scott promised a physical release of v0.9, but this never happened. I really hope v1.0 is released on disc - and comes with past soundtracks so we can trace the development of PR. That would be truly commemorative of a v1.0 milestone.
If you find a place to download past PR soundtracks from, please reply with the link. Thanks.

In my opinion tracks by PirateX and Scott for 1.0 are the best.
I liked the new 1.0 songs that were presented to us: "We Fight Together" and "What We Leave Behind".. there are awesome...
But the same way, I feel nostalgic for old songs that were removed for the current version of PR, a long time ago...
The 0.6 theme the DEVs included for 1.0 (if I am not mistaken), which I think was a good move...
The 0.8 menu theme I think won't be in 1.0... What a shame, cause that was my favorite MENU song of all times, so nostalgic... I still listen to it sometimes!
I also love:
The Battle for Qinling song
PirateX - Terracota
PirateX - Predator
PirateX - Hunting Taliban
PirateX - Desert Heat
PirateX - Battle Formation
PirateX - Afghan Uprising
Beirut song
Ramiel song
Disciple-chinese3-pr
Disciple-chinese2-night
Alkali - The Reality Check
Alkali - Properity
Alkali - Heavy Resistance
Alkali - Cover
Please, please, please put back (don't remove) those old songs, I am sure older players who have been playing PR during all these years also miss them

All of the soundtracks except the rave ones. Those make the game really cheesy, like some Tom Clancy game.

Personally, I like all of them. Every theme is special in its own unique way.
battle for quinling loading song brings back so many memories of my early days of PR, back when it was so easy to get absorbed into the immersion of the game. (not saying its not immersive anymore, just saying when you first start playing PR you are easily immersed)

In my opinion, Quinling, Kashan, Jabal, and Silent Eagle are the bests songs. Quinling is my favourite one, also it was the first map I ever played .

It is such a shame that the soundtrack is only heard on the main menu and loading screens.
I have the soundtrack playing separately in WMP all the time .

Just randomly opened up PR music in my media player. In my opinion PirateX's map loading songs are more characteristic. Desert Heat, Predator, Hunting Taliban, amazing pieces of music. Such fidelity and "real life" character to them. Alkali's stuff sounds a bit more synth'y. Not bad at all, but I prefer PirateX.
