Seeing as we have the Zhi-8KA for the PLA which is the chinese variant of the Super Frelon i thought it was a bit strange that it wasn't being converted for the upcoming French Forces faction while the Zhi-9 was. Are there any plans to include a reskined Zhi-8KA as a Super Frelon for the French Forces?

I think it could be added as the heavy lift for French Forces in replacement of the chinook which is by my understanding not operated by the French.

Pros: it would add a level of realism (actually using a helicopter that the french operate)
Cons: The Zi-8KA would need to be re skinned and someone would need to do it.

P.S I know the chinook is there as part of the UN force and its fine for the Operation Marlin map but i suggest this for maps where the French won't be under a UN banner and thus need a helicopter of their own.

We did consider this for the French Forces Heavy Lift Chopper but I'm sorry to inform you but this was retired from service in the French Armed Forces on the 30 April 2010 so there is no chance of it being in PR unless we make an historical map where it can be realistically used on :(

As for the Chinook, the French and British have a very close Anglo-French military alliance now where it wouldn't be uncommon to see RAF Chinooks resupplying French Forces in most scenarios. The RAF recently helped the French with air logistics in Mali with transporting their stuff in a bunch of cargo aircraft to the region.
