I believe you have an incorrect registry entry, specifically the entry that notes which versino of BF2 you have installed.
on 64 bit windows, if you have an Origin copy of BF2, it is this
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2\Version
It is probably set to 1.5
you need to edit it to 1.0

What OS? XP/Vista/7/8/8.1 ?
IS it 32 bit or 64 bit? <-- required you answer this correctly
And you have the retail Disc version of the game
you have to open registry editor,
Search for RegEdit
start it as admin
Search for the correct location in the registry tree on left:
then change the "Version"="1.5" back to "Version"="1.0"
for 32 bit:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2]
"Language"="English"
"Locale"="en_US"
"InstallDir"="E:\\Battlefield 2"
"Version"="1.5"
for 64 bit
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2]
"Language"="English"
"Locale"="en_US"
"InstallDir"="E:\\Battlefield 2"
"Version"="1.5"

Ok. I reinstalled BF2. Downloaded the patches in order and everything is fine. But I already have another problem that Ill be posting. Whenever I run the Singleplayer mode in a mod. It takes too long to load and freezes at the class/map screen. Ive been working on downloading these mods for 3 days now and its one problem after another

. Thanks for the help. :[

IF you have BF2 and the mods on a HDD, you might need to defrag the hard drive.
