Okay guys, the title is extensive but that's exactly the problem!
I did finished download and setup of the PR 1.0 BETA.
Updated to last version 1.0.21 (I guess)

And tried to launch... after a few seconds it goes fullscreen, then crash to desktop without error boxes or anything...

So I went back to the v0.9xxx (latest stable), the same happen, after a few seconds it goes fullscreen then fall back to desktop without errors!!

Until installation of the BETA I was running fine the v0.9xx, now I have nothing to play with

So please, what could I do?

Try running the game in windowed mode (there is a checkbox in the launcher). Hopefully windows will return the error if you do this

Thank you Noddy! But I did uncheck "Fullscreen", saved settings, but it doesn't save actually, continues with Fullscreen checked.

For now, to try to get PRBeta up and running ,

try this fix:

Go to your BF2 firectory, something like:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 2 Complete Collection

Find PRBF2.exe
Right CLick, create a shortcut.

On new shortcut, right click , select properties,
Edit your shortcut to look like this:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 2 Complete Collection\PRBF2.exe" +restart +menu 1 +fullscreen 0 +szx 1280 +szy 720

That will start the Beta in Windowed mode.

Secondly, you can try to start vanilla BF2, and log in and join an online server. You can then adjust your video settings in Vanilla BF2, then exit BF2, and join PR 0.981, and that will probably allow you to get running.

If not, go to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 2 Complete Collection\mods\PR

And make a shortcut for PR.exe,
open new shortcut, and edit as such:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 2 Complete Collection\mods\PR\PR.exe" +restart +menu 1 +fullscreen 0 +szx 1280 +szy 720

That should get 0.981 running.

Now I got some Intel on my case:



I think the core became broken, I can't start any version of BF2 (BF2: Complete Edition 'Origin' + the PR's). Judging by the message I hope is something simple.. dunno. You guys have the knowhow

Okay guys, I'm trying to fix by reinstalling the Patch 1.50, maybe it fixes!
I'll update once I do that.

That "font/commrosefontlocalbold_9.dif not found" part, I found out it comes from the mod build proccess... and that cpp extension I think it's a C++ file or something, so it looks like a pre-compilation issue... dunno guys.

When you have some time, please help me! I was enjoying it since I discovered! PR is fuckin awesome!
