Should something perhaps be done with rockets vs. helis?

True example that happened earlier today:
An Mi-17 landed a full enemy squad near us on saareema and our full squad of 8 soldiers were able to take out the entire squad in a surprise ambush.
However, the chopper itself went on unharmed for the entire duration of the firefight until the AT rifleman took out an AT4 and took a shot. It was a direct hit but it ended up only causing the chopper to smoke as it took off back to safety of it's cargoship.
Realistically that should not have happened, even without the AT4 we should have been able to keep it grounded by killing the pilot alone. But that can be argued and perhaps for a different thread.
Main point is that the AT4 rocket itself should have damaged the chopper to a point where it wouldn't have been able to take off, if not outright destroyed. So is there a way to make the helicopters in this game a bit more vulnerable to rifleman AT rockets?
