Mic volume/threshold extremely low

Hello.
First off, my headset is a Steelseries 3H VR but I have not found anything regarding low mic volume on this headset in particular.
The threshold for capturing sound is very, very low, like under an inch of green on the PR test bar, and I cannot find a fix.
I have tried to set volume and all that in windows settings and fumbled around with PR settings, but please do give me any suggestions.
I ask here because others may have had low mic volume.
The issue is not that the speech can't be heard, it is just very, very quiet.
Yes the mic is next to my mouth and so on, I have tried fumbling around with that too.
I speak quietly most the time, but even shouting into the mic produces pretty bad results, so I am sure it is not me.
Also, anyone know how to remove the clantag from your name? Don't ask, but now I have "Arch" stuck as it, and cannot find a way to delete it.
Thanks.
EDIT: SOLVED
Realtek HD Audio Manager mic boost was at 0db. Changed higher.
