So...
Today i installed BF2 and at start it gave me this: Black screen. without and error sign etc.
it just shut down.
so i tryed launching it via origin, and i maneged to get a look on a error sign saying: memory.dll:thread 596 (these nubers change every time) is deallocating main thread memory
i have tried re-installing several times, and yes it was patched 1.5
i have also tryed cleraing my profile, in documents folder.
i really want to get this working so i can get on PR soon! such a lovley mod...

Did you install BF2, 1.41 patch, then 1.5 patch?

Try running your textures on medium. Worked for me some years ago. If the RAM is more than 2GB your problem might appear. Good luck!

You could try right-clicking the shortcut and go to 'Properties', 'Compatibility Tab' and then select Windows 7 or Windows XP from the drop-down menu and also check 'Run as Administrator'. Then try to run it again.

But how does one do that without being able to enter the game some asks. Well, here's your answer:
[yourharddrive]:\Users\[yourname]\Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Default\Video - right click on 'Video', open it through notepad and change the "VideoSettings.setTextureQuality" to 2.

My game crashes while stucking in the account server loading screen.
At first I had the same problem mentioned here in the thread and in the other one, which is currently discussed in the bug forum. The game just went black and crashed after a few seconds.
So I thought it had to do something with the uninstall of the 1,0 beta, which made me to reinstall BF 1.5 patch and the RendDX9.dll file.
Anyway, I realized that the problem was me switching from a 24'' monitor to my old 19'' monitor (since I've moved to another place and still got my old computer at my parents house). With the instructions of this threat I was able to fix that.
But now the game still crashes with no comment after loading the account server for 1 - 2 minutes.
This happens in PR and in Vanilla BF2.
Any ideas?

What does RendDX9.dll do?
