Container Ship Map / Somali Pirates?

Hi all,
I remember about 3 years ago I saw a map being designed that was basically cargo ships off the coast of somewhere like Somali, and the scenario was lots of CPs over these cargo ships which would have to be reached by either AIR TRANS or boat - possibly fighting Somali pirates.
I can't seem to find that map in the map subforum. Does anyone know what happened with it?

It was a map by CodeRedFox, a (now) retired developer. The map was never finished or released unfortunately.

That's a shame! Is there anything similar in the pipeline do you know?
I was so excited for that map as it's very different from our other land-based AAS', but totally do-able and very relevant to current affairs! =[

I was fascinated by that awesome container ship static that was made for this map. Such a shame it was never released

Perhaps CodeRedFox still has the files, no idea. I don't think anyone from the PR team has them anyway.

yeah none of us has the files, but iirc the map wasn't that far along anyway

Map was not that far along, it was based on Eyl Somalia, a forum search will find the thread.
CodeRedFox came to the realization that creating the ships themselves would be a brutal time sink, and he surrendered, rightfully so.
Were problems with bulkhead doors, BF2 engine would need to either have feet/shins go through the lower bulkhead, or invisible ramps going over each bulkhead and you'd have to duck to get through.
Were problems with ingress/egress of the ships... which were insurmountable.
