Issue 1: Wrong Certificate or Password Error.

So I installed all installation files, including the Mumble in the .97 version (0.6 Beta) and then installed the .97 to .981 upgrade and I get this error.

Image

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install all installation files as usual. When you get to the 'Update Punkbuster' part, do not select the ticks.
2. Run Mumble

Cause: Maybe the new mumble for 1.0 Beta screws up your profile, and thus it cannot connect to the old versions?

Solution that worked: Use a new, or different profile.

Reason: Maybe I was banned on the mumble server?

Issue 2: Failed to create communication with overlay at MumbleOverlayPipe

Cause: Upgrade doesn't properly replace Mumble from 0.6 Beta to 1.0.0 Beta 4.

Solution: Uninstall old version, Install PR 1.0.0 Beta 4.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install all installation files as usual. When you get to the 'Update Punkbuster' part, do not select the ticks.
2. Run old version of mumble.

Try running both mumble and the game as admin? See if that works?

Nope, running both programs as admin doesn't fix it.

What fixes it is creating a new profile, and then it will let you connect and sync flawlessly.

The possible reason could lie in the way the settings are stored for each mod. If I deleted my profile that didn't work from the Document Folder (All traces), then retrieve the account via Project Reality, then it may work.

Translation: The other mods screwed up my profile.

New Update: Still Happening with number 2.

The solution was to configure that program to always run as admin by right-clicking, going to properties, under compatibility, privilege level: Run as admin checked.

Now how to solve it: Update PRMumble to bypass UAC and always run as admin. I have UAC and that's why it doesn't open when PR opens.

And if you have mumble problems like the mute mic, I found out that my mic was muted because I pressed a shortcut that muted it (A custom one), so it was my fault. So just press on the red / and you should unmute yourself.

Happy teamwork!
