As 8 years passed for the all the passionate, creative and dedicated fellas in the development team they have finally reached a milestone after all these years. Congratulations gentlemen and thank you for everything!

With that said , its been a while since i used the forums here but i still play PR of course , im in the MOW clan (you can check the profile link in the clans sub forum) and we go for some awesome rounds together but the problem is that we use Skype for rallying before we go in and its a bit annoying.

Is steam gonna work now with its GUI with the new launcher system that was made? And will it show that you're playing Project Reality?

The removal of Punkbuster in Project Reality 1.0 should mean you can now use the Steam overlay without issues. However, Steam will still say that the player is playing Battlefield 2, and not Project Reality. This is because Project Reality still uses the bf2.exe to launch.

I think if you run Steam and/or the PR files as administrator, it should say that you're playing whatever your PR steam shortcut is called.

At least that's how it's working for me right now in 0.98.

I'd make sure BF2 is set to run as admin too.

That is both not entirely true.
PR 1.0 still uses Punkbuster.
PR now uses it's own exe which means it won't show that you play BF2.

Thank you for clearing that up. That answers my question then.
