Yo so I am a serial gamer, as in I only buy serials and never the retail price because I'm cheap. So I am looking around the net for the cheapest BF2 and $10 seems to be the cheapest, found here. That's for the complete collection although I really only want BF2 to play PR, I'd rather give the money to the PR devs instead. If anyone finds something cheaper than $10 let me know, I'm sure others will appreciate it too. Thanks.

I'm also on the lookout for more BF2 keys, trying to get some friends into it, the $10 you posted was also the cheapest I had found online last weekend. I don't know if http://www.buygamecdkeys com is a legit website or not though.

You can probably find physical copies for less, but I don't think you'll find a digital version for less than $10. And anything you find will probably be the complete edition, I don't think they sell just the base game anymore.

Ugh. I can only see an influx of hackers at the free release... they would have nothing to lose.

Thanks for the replies, that's weird they would make it free, I guess that's cool though. I would definitely buy BF2 for $5, it's back to $20 though on Origin. I'd rather be ready for the PR v1.0 release, so I might have to go with the $10 deal.

I found a store that sold BF2 hard copies for 1,50 euros a piece a while back, can't find it anymore

Funny that it's cheaper here in the EU than the US, you get hard copies on amazon.de for less than 5 Eur right now. Anyway, serials are around $10 on all the sites I know, so you might wanna go with that.

How come BF2142 is sold at $14.99 regular price, while BF2 is sold at $19.99? Right now a copy of BF2: Complete Collection is the same price as the base game of Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3.

Anyway, the complete edition is great because of the special forces addon. I personally bought it just so I could get my hands on that coveted L96A1 in the regular BF2.

(You log in to a special forces game once and instantly get the unlocks in Vanilla BF2)

I got my copy of BF2 for $10 at Fry's four or so years ago.
