Why? Because I deleted all the patches leading up to v0.981 to clear up hard-drive space, uninstalled 1.0 beta, downloaded 1.0, tried to start up v0.981 (which was working just fine before I uninstalled the beta) and boom! CTD on launch. Resolution - reinstall everything. Oh wait.. now my files are gone. hmph.
Who cares about 1.0 24 hours later, I wanna play PR now!
Edit 1. Nevermind, reinstalling BF2 1.5 patch fixed it.
Edit 2. Nevermind again, it only got me to the map loading scrn and before I could spawn in. Boom! CTD.

I would like somebody to please share/mirror their Project Reality 0.981 client release for me and my friends to play?
Why do I have to do everything myself?

I can get you a complete PR 0.981+957 SP Map Pack mods\pr folder and the uninstall files with it (place in BF2 folder) within an hour or two of me getting home.
PS: I have been waiting to play .98 again for so long (QINLING, FALKLANDZ AND SIEGE, I WUV U), would it be ok to tag along?

Thank you, but I'm alright for now at least, I found myself some old PR installation executables, four of them, from previous installations, and had them all (v0.973 and v0.981) uploaded/shared on MEGA about twelve hours ago.

Ah, best of luck! Is it possible that I can run with you on your Hamachi event, even if its skirmish, playing .98 with real people gives me joy ? I will keep the dl link in my sig to share its joys with the wurld!

I'm not aware if I'm breaking any kind of forum rules now, or not, but I only do this because I like to kick back to v0.981 from time to time, with that said, I still play the latest official version daily online, but at least it would seem that we have a single server at our disposal:

YES! Falklands event, anyone? It rotated to Falklands recently and its got plenty of maps in rotation like Qwai, Fallujah, Kozelesk, Ramiel, Ghost Train (mmm, Warrior) too! Perhaps send it out to Wicca and get an event set up with teh Falklands, that would easily get a thousand eyes watching if approved and if its posted on the launcher.

It looks like the server has mumble support, but would it work? I am pretty sure they cut the old one off (no DL either), so we will have to make a Teamspeak if an event happens. It does have vBF2 VOIP, that should do! Server will not work if 0.981 folder is renamed to something else except "pr", it will try and launch 1.0 = crash, BF2 Special Forces style.
