This is the torrent DL... I also tried the other link thats going around but that was corrupt to.


I uninstalled the Beta and I have also uninstalled 0.9*

I have re installed BF2 and the patches now.


Any ideas?



Please dont say re download a new copy.... takes me 8 hours on a good day

1. Check the hashes on your torrent.

What are you using to mount the .iso image? I suggest using a different program. SlySoft Virtual CloneDrive is my suggestion.

It's got to be the software uncompressing, or you have a bad HDD. Or your antivirus is hyperactive.

im using PowerISO.

2. Disable your antivirus/antimalware. THis only generally happens if there is a antivirus scanning the .zip file during decompression.

3. Alternatively, try using WinRar to unzip the *.iso, and run like that from the decompressed directory.

I get the same error, but with vehicle client, muttrah and some picture. :/

Same thing happened to me too. Its not objects_statics_client though its something like vehicles client.

I am using daemon tools and I tried Slysoft too.

I'm currently downloading a new iso. Then i will try everything from the start.

Shouldn't be necessary to d/l the entire torrent. Just need to check the hashes.

BUMP

The files are corrupt , either a faulty download, a faulty hard drive, a overly aggressive A/V scan,... not much we can do.
If you know someone with PR installed and a good upload speed and a host like dropbox, you can download it from that source.

1. use the WinRAR method to unzip the *.iso
2. paste in the failed fails into the correct location in the unzipped directories.
3. run setup.exe in the unzipped root directory

I've been trying everything now.

Unzipped install - same error
Zipped it, and install - same error
7-zip, install - same error
Virtual clone drive, install - same error

I have downloaded new file each time, been trying the torrent. 2x times and normal download from Gamershell 3x times.

And the funny thing, the "missing file" or "corrupt file"(whatever it says) is almost diffrent each time. Sometimes it's misisng a map, sometimes it weapons, and often it is the "common" file wich is corrupt or missing.

Can someone please help me? Been trying to fix this since friday now...

Stabsen, what type of drive are you downloading these files onto?
You really need to do a hard drive integrity test, or a SSD integrity test.
THis sounds like either a virus, or a failing hard drive.
I'd also advise a thorough virus scan using multiple virus scanning products.

Finally installed!

I downloaded PR on my laptop, and installed it from an external hard drive!
Don't know whats causing the problem. Probably my hard drive, it's been some through some stuff...
