I choose install as admin on win7 on the bf2 1.0, but then it says

Installer says Bf2 1.5 not installed even if it is.

I played PR.98 at Tactical gamer " Final chance " this very night so I know for sure it very much works.

Is the PR 1.0 installer corrupt ? it seems very much like it.

Love to get some quick answer or help since I?m going to play it with my friend on sunday.

( Tried renaming my Bf2 documents folder and retrieve my
account, also renamed my PR ( 9.8 folder) to see if that helps.
The PR installer is messed up and fails to recognize my installation of BF2 1.5 )

Please dont write Re-install BF2 and try again cause it?s not the bf2 install that is the problem, its a fresh installation.

same for me ... cannot install PR, it says i am maybe not in 1.5 and dont continu the install ... if i launch BF2, i am in 1.5 ....

There most be something wrong with the installer, that the PR devs have missed. I posted this one and another post about the problem + on the facebook page but haven?t gotten any answers yet.

I?ts extremely irritating when you think at last the PR team has made a streamlined awesome installer with a launcher outside of the game...then it doesnt work to install...its just ARAGGG.

I got an answer from a friendly Betatester:

download the appropriate registry entry from here: PR:BF2 Support - Project Reality Forums
That will get your registry to say you have BF2 v1.5 installed.

Do that!


I allready uninstalled BF2, cleaned registry with CCleaner and rebooted + reinstalled game AND BF2 PR 1.0 ...then it worked..but to skip that part....do this

a Betatester posted me this answer...so please try it out.. I solved my problem in a more difficult way...but use this:

download the appropriate registry entry from here: PR:BF2 Support - Project Reality Forums
That will get your registry to say you have BF2 v1.5 installed.

Lock this thread and rename it [SOLVED] dont know how to do that.

But i got a problem ... game close when i try to launch a server.

No not at all, and if it were to I'd simply reinstall BF2 > 1.41 > 1.5 > PR.
