PR i have loved you for such a long time, and today you let me know its time to move on. Get things sorted, all so i can have a Rig and treat you like the special girl you are. So so long have played non stop for months now its over.

lets hear it from anyone else who has to move on due to **** tops or old rigs.

I am surprised that I feel same way... I have Quad processor with Asus GTX 470 (allowes me to play Arma 2/3 and BF3 on high quality) and I have huge drop in fps... It is playable for me but its not performing as well as you would think it could...

From day 1 of the BETA process I was barely able to run the game.

Whenever I shot against a wall in front of me or anything else happened for that matter, the effects would kill my fps completely. They went down to about 5-7 fps no matter what. Fiddled with graphic settings to no effect and was very very bummed.

But you know what? Actually completely reinstalling my machine did it. I have no idea what was going wrong before, if it was my BF2 install, PR install or something else but the difference before and after reinstalling completely was/is HUGE!

Now I am back to pretty much stable frame rates again (well, as stable as they ever were in PR).

So before you go and buy new stuff, maybe just take a day and reinstall!

For everybody with performance issues please post in this thread. You can get your system info from Support option in PR Launcher.

In 0.98 i was able to run on medium/high with good fps now im running on low with low fps and the game looks like SHIT.

And to be honest the whole new effects thing makes the game look a bit like a holywood movie, im not saying I dont like them its just a whole new PR for some people is hard to get used to.

Don't forget, BF2/PR runs on ONE core only. This means that your CPU can have as much cores as you want, it doesn't change a thing. Just look out for a good Dual Core.

Same for me, I was always running pr at 60-40 FPS,
now I got between 50-40 looking ouside of the map, at the border,
and in really intense battles i have 2-10 FPS...
And yes that is a slideshow!

So I wish you guys all the best on the 100p servers, unitl I buy a new PC (maybe 1-2 years),
and I will try to ba a active skirmish player :-/

How about owning an 3570K, GTX660, running from SSD and getting really noticeable drops down to 20-30 FPS with everything on low?

Unfortunately, my 8 year old pc could barely run previous PR versions. Saving money for a new pc and can't wait till I can play PR again.

Are you serious? They are very nice affects and are nothing at all like a Hollywood movie, it's about time we had affects like this. Sorry for the people that need a new computer, but we move forward with games like this and you have an option to update the commodore 64.

Yes they are nice indeed would be even more nice if I was able to see them in more than 15 fps
