Bug with PRlauncher

Posted: 2013-08-02 21:13
by Tarranauha200
Sometimes my PRlauncher starts using insane amounts of my CPU randomly. Causes a lot of FPS drop and lag in-game. This seems to happen sometimes when I close my mumble in order to restart it.

Yes. I have also noticed that the launcher is using over 50% cpu power.
This evening i have been playing the game with good fps but on two occations the game started to freeze and drop framerate.
I look at my second screen where i have processexplorer running and i see pr launcher have gone from 0.6% to over 50% cpu usage.
This was after the update.

I had the same problem. The only thing that i could do to stop it getting too out of hand was to go into task manager and set the PR Launcher's affinity so that it could only use one of my cores from my quadcore. Even then i was still getting really long lock up's, funnily enough this only happened really bad when I was flying a Cobra on muttrah.

PRLauncher.exe just pegged my CPU usage on all cores (all 4 cores) to 100% each.

Holy shit, I thought I was running Prime95 lol.

Same here, game came to a screeching halt in fps...prlauncher.exe at 99% CPU usage.

Indeed, sir, you're not the only one.
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f26-pr ... ssues.html

I reckon there's some issue with the PRLauncher when it uses 99% of an Quad-Core-CPU.

BUMP! PRlauncher still does this sometimes and only restarting PR works.
