I want to find a torrent link for the BF2 Patch 1.5. But somehow I cant find it.
Who can give me a link for that?
How much GB is that patch? At Isohunt I see many differences.

Couple months ago. I could download from your PRmod website the Patches 1.5

I dont want to install from Desura.

Its a wrong file... I have done the following things

BF2 DVD
Patch 1.41
and then your link but it said "you al ready have a newer version'

Do a fresh install of BF2, It can be very picky.
In windows 7 I always:

1. Install bf2
2. Install 1.41
3. Reboot
4. Install 1.50. PunkBuster Update, Run Bf2 & setup account.
5. Install PR.

It will say you have a newer version if it thinks 1.41 isn't installed, Not sure why but it does.

It's caused by error in the registery, you can fix it by editing the version line in the registry.

* Press windows start and write "regedit" in the search bar and press enter.

* Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Wow6432Node \ Electronic Arts \ EA Games \ Battlefield 2]

* Double-click the Version and change it to something less than 1.5.

* If the Version is missing right click empty space and Choose New -> String Value -> Double Click it and add the following
[Value name: Version]
[Value data: 1.41] or whatever less than 1.5, if it doesn't work just add 1.1 to it or something.

If your download and install Origin, and register your key through it, or log into the account that the key is associated with, you will get BF2, then all you have to do is install and it'll auto update to 1.5.

If u have a legal copy, u can download it from Origin or steam.
No need to download 1.5 patch.
But if not, u'd have to follow the instruction mentioned above.

BTW, u can not join in any server with a illegal copy.

I tried to fix the register with Version. But now i get the following problem.

CRC ERROR
CRC error: the file D:EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\booster_client.zip
doenst match the file in setups .cab file. The medium which you are running the setup may be corrupted; contact your software vendor.

In my opion the patch 1.41 could be corrupted?

I have to go now, but I will back around 1800 to fix the problem.

I have bought the Battlefield 2 Deluxe Edition on a dvd.
I can not add BF2 as on 'activate a product' on Steam or Origin

Aha it seems have worked now.
I changed the Register Version from 1.41 to 1.1 and TADA

Hmm, you're serial key should let you unlock it from Origin. I you want to, you can try an contact Origin/EA Support over the phone and let them know your product key wont redeem on the Origin Client, best case senario is they give you a new key, or add the game to your library, and you wont have to worry about going through these steps again. Worst case, you don't get a key, and you waste half hour.

Couple months ago I have asked this question (to silver/redeem to key in Origin) to Origin.
"Can I use my BF2 key in Origin"?
There question was they could only use keys before a date. Dont know which date. I thought it was a date after the release of BF2. Cant find the email anymore.
