Game will not start. "Memory.dll is missing from your computer"

Hello,
I have been playing PR for a long time. Had some teething issues at first with the mod when I switched over to steam but played fine before.
Downloaded the mod over night (slow internet... took me about 15 hours.
) and installed it via Desura. Tried to launch through that and it gives me a "this is not a valid exe" error. So I tried going into the PR folder to launch from there. The program fails to launch, giving me a system error stating "memory.dll is missing from your computer"
This is the only program and game that has ever given me this error, so I am unsure what is going on here.
I tried running BF2 - no issues at all with vanilla.
Please help!
