Requirement To Read the Manual

Honestly, I think this would improve PR 1.0 greatly, and not have many frag fests in main and such, ect.
Have a requirement system BEFORE you are able to play PR.
- Force Players to read manual
- Make them answer questions about almost everything in the manual.
- You must complete a 'test' about the manual
- You must pass it in order to play 1.0
Anyone thing that would be a 'ok' idea? It would force people to take the test.
AND us "veteran" players or players that know how to play would answer in no time!
Just my 2 cents.
Discuss?

So.... When you were new to PR were their discussions about how to make the game less a game for the masses? Looks like from the history this game was for anyone looking for a more realistic gameplay.
I think thousands of players would avoid any game (probably including veterans on here) if when they joined they had to take "tests" in order to play. If someone wants that kind of challenge maybe they could look for a group or clan...
#1 quote from Dev's I've been reading is along the lines of wanting everyone to enjoy their hard work. That's not just hardcore 8 year players, that's anyone looking to play. Comments like this make me wonder if Individuals in this community are trying to be elitist....

I believe an interactive tutorial of some kind, which explains the mechanics very clearly, AND WHICH IS NOT BIASED JUST BECAUSE THE MAKER OF IT KNOWS THE GAME (Very important right here) and explains everything very, very, very clearly, would be good, if done right.
Just something that will allow the newbie to be a part of your ordinary rifle squad, mech inf squad and the basics of logistics and capturing flags etc.

It's not about having read the manual, it's about having the mindset to play the mod right. Forcing someone to read a manual won't magically give them that mindset.

I read the manual after months of playing PR because I wanted to know the small details and things that I missed.
If someone had come and told me.... Go read the manual first so you can answer my questions.... at the beginning of my journey I think I would just have left it like I have left Arma 2.
like saXoni says playing PR properly is not so much about knowledge it is about the proper mindset.
I disapprove this idea.

You're implying it's not the veteran's job to make sure a noob knows how to play...

Veterans wanna play the game. I was on burning sands and constantly in Mac main was tking and wasting assets
I want PR TO BE MATURE
Not to sound greedy
But it sucks especially on kashan with no fobs and such lol

When I started to play, I tried to read it aswell, but I think it was like 83 pages long. I think nobody wants to read that if youre honest.
Most of the stuff I learned was by just derpin around in a communicative squad with funny people.
Maybe if you just show the new players some sort of built-in introduction video with the basics explained which lasts about 5-8 minutes, that would do it
