Unscoped IDF

I'm really not sure if it was intended or overlooked.
The IDF faction lost all the vital scopes from its weaponry. It appears that the only scopes left are on Sniper, Marksman and Officer kits. All the rest (including Rifleman, Machine Gunner and Automatic Rifleman) are unscoped.
I just played an AAS round against MEC and it felt kind of tough and imbalanced. I even had to rage quit in the end, despite being a cool and collected person  . We were raped by enemy's scoped rifles and MGs, and had nothing to counter that. No scopes, no binos. I felt like a turkey.

Modern IDF is pretty much a CQB army, even their tank was designed to fight on streets (as crazy as it can sounds). I can understand the devs' point on removing the scopes.

BTW, the new Tavor got a bizarre rate of fire. I feel like it is a SMG when using it. Also, the reflex sight still full hollow on it, needs some lens effect.

RL members of the IDF were very confident in this change

balancing will take place in the form of asset rearrangement, we'll be watching how it goes

I just wanted to say what Death said,IDF is heavily CQB oriented in RL
and devs also got lot complains from people that were actually in IDF how old
kit loadout was really unrealistic, then they decided to listen those people and
make it closer to RL counterparts.
Yeah I know that is now somehow lot harder to play with IDF in PR,but they basically
remade that faction with simple change, now they are really unique compared to other
conventional factions that have optics on every second rifle,no matter we like it or not.
Personally I am not really downhearted with change, but I admit that it will take lot
of time to adjust to those changes.

With the new deviation settings MEC will keep on raping all other factions, it's not just the IDF. That G3/MG3 combo is unbeatable.

I think it's an awesome idea and less kits in general shold have scopes.

I agree, removing scopes like that was allright idea for 0.98, but not for 1.0. G3 is basically an SVD but without bipod and with full-auto mode. It will be really hard and not fun time for IDF on Bijar Canyons.
Maybe atleast MG should have his scope back? Or maybe let IDF has more marksmens?
But I didn't played as IDF yet, had no opportunity, so I might be wrong.

Update:
Just played as and IDF medic on Bijar Canyons, we have won(we got 150 tickets left which is not really much) and I'm glad that I was wrong.
This map's terrain is quite dark so it's really easy to see MEC troops and it's quite difficult to see IDF troops becouse of their brown and green uniform which is perfect for this map.
Often armor and CAS has supported us, just as they should, but the other team was also playing decent so don't think we just steamrolled some noobs. ;-)
Great job devs, IDF is a really unique faction now and it's refreshing to play as them.

No scopes for IDF is fine for maps like Gaza but Iron ridge (or whatever you call it now) is just a rape fest.

I think "in real life" the IDF wouldn't send its forces into a theatre like that geared for only for CQC

I think we'll have to trust the gents in teh IDF who gave the feedback. The relevant maps can be balanced via asset layouts.
