godamm these PR testers

now i have to rant about this, first the instability of the mod itself is horrendous compared to 0.973 and the servers crashing on multiple maps but this just takes the cake, how the hell did the testers not notice that ramming a warrior with a challenger equals CQB barrels for a tank?
for anyone that hasnt noticed yet this is a
joke, dont take it seriously

I don't think this would usually go into testing. "Now testers i want you to ram the shit out a tank with every single vehicle, forget doing things that actually ruin gameplay." If i was a tester i would never have thought of testing this.

This is
basically what being a tester for PR is about.
Or how do you like: OK testers, now I want you to go through all maps and layers (>250) and try out at least one layer of each map for 30min and go through all vehicles/weapons/seat positions. Yes, this happened

I thought this was a troll complaining cause he got banned for 'ramming'.
But testers have lives too!

Testing is limited. You have a small number of people who overall only generate a small number of total man-hours. Merely hundreds of hours.
Upon releasing a game you have thousands of people who generate tens of thousands of man-hours of play time in a single day.
As such, there are ALWAYS things that get discovered that were missed by a testing team upon release. There's no need to get snappy at them. It took several days of every single PR player playing the game before someone noticed this. I'll bet that's 50k-100k of hours that people have played in-game before the bug was noticed.
You can't expect a testing team to ever have that number of hours worth of testing.

Agreed, there was only 1600+ issues on our bug tracker.

There is always one more bug.
Evaluate (n value of changes in the latest release) * (every object + terrain + code + every possible level of player intelligence).
I can test that in a day. *sarcasm*

I was once asked in an interview to make an argument that every piece of software has an infinite number of bugs.

There are no bugs, only features.

Not an issue with the testers, but this has been happening with the Challenger for about 3 versions.

I know the thread is not serious, but no wonder PR is so unstable right now when our only fucking source of attention is a visual bug!
How many hours have been devoted into fixing it to now?

ye, its down to the barrel having a col1 mesh which causes many other issues too and should have been removed quite some time ago. Just no one really wants to take the plunge of cleaning up the export file to fix it

Good, because its not really serious, and like most players, I've never seen it for myself.
Fix it eventually, though.
